Country Croque Madame/ Hot Ham and Cheese

I love these sandwiches my husband loves these sandwiches and my kids love these sandwiches. It’s hot ham and cheese kicked up a notch. It’s an easy and good meal, have fun with it and add different cheeses, deli meats or sauces. Here’s how I made mine this time………

 8 Slices Sourdough Bread

Sliced Deli Ham

Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese

Shredded Pepper Jack Cheese

Mayonnaise

3 eggs

1/3 cup milk

1 teaspoon hot sauce

Build you sandwich…. Spread Mayonnaise on slice of bread, sprinkle with cheddar cheese, add a liberal amount of ham, and top with pepper jack cheese, spread mayonnaise on the other slice of bread and place back on top.

For the egg mixture beat the milk and eggs, and hot sauce together.

Add margarine to hot pan.

Dip the sandwich in egg mixture coating well on both sides.

When margarine is melted, cook for about 2 minutes on both sides.
