Favorite Find Friday~ IHOP Pancakes

I find all sorts of great articles, cooking tips, recipes, photos, and books during my week.

Instead of keeping them all to myself,  I’m dedicating my Friday to sharing the treasures which have captured my heart and more often my belly throughout the week.

This week I found……….

Pancakes!

During my daily pinning break, I came across this pancake picture and it caught my eye, not just because they were pretty they were titled as a IHOP pancakes, although IHOP is not known for its amazing food……..

I can say with most certainty they have awesome pancakes, and it’s not just because I mostly ate them drunk buzzed,

even Sober they have some pretty amazing pancakes.

I was pretty comfortable with my current pancake recipe but when teased  with the prospect of having IHOP quality hotcakes at home-made with love from scratch, I was ready to try something new.

Get The Recipe

It’s from the “America’s Most Wanted Cookbook” that I just ordered because it has excellent ratings, they have recipes from some of the most popular chain restaurants and because I’m sure these recipes will come close if not exactly like some of my favorite dishes at these chains, I mean this IHOP pancake recipe came so close I just have to see what else the book has to offer.

The recipe is also posted on Cookin’ Up North by the awesome Laurie, who has done me a grave justice, with posting this recipe and recommending this cookbook!

Here’s some pictures from the “IHOP” pancakes I made this morning!

Enjoy your weekend, I’ll be back Monday for a special Martin Luther King Day recipe!

Don’t be shy Please comment show me/tell me something cool you’ve found this week!

I love pancakes!!! However, I recently went gluten-free and I’m still trying to find a really good gluten-free pancake recipe. I’ve tried the bisquick gluten-free pancake mix and it was ok, not great. Hopefully, I’ll find a better option.

Truthfully speaking I’m allergic to wheat and rice, and corn :) Yes I know that’s pretty intense, I tested positive with a prick test, and when I initially found out I did make some pretty decent pancakes with a potato flour and almond flour mix. I’ll get my measurements together and post it soon. Thanks for stopping by Sonya :)
