I think that’s one of the cool things about food…how it brings back good memories! 😉 Well good except for the time my Mom made me eat really well done liver 😉 Nothing like bitter shoe leather to get a kid to gobble up dinner!

Wow–this is some serious old school Southern cooking! First of all, I don’t know that I’ve seen gizzards sold in quantities here–I just use the ones that come with the whole chicken. I do use my gizzards to make broth/stock, but never thought to fry them up afterwards! They really do look delicious!

Oh man! I haven’t had fried Gizzards since I was a kid! And my Mom fried them in lard too! And yours look as good as hers did. You are taking me right back to my Canadian childhood!

I wonder if they sell gizzards at the safeway here in California? 😉
